I had painted a white top with red paint, put navy trousers on him and made him some pipe cleaner glasses. I thought it was a good effort on my part since I am rubbish at crafts and making costumes or outfits.
It was raining so we decided to go in the car to school. I needed milk so we left 5 minutes earlier and I drove to the local shops. I managed to get a space right infront of the shops. I locked the car but hadn't realised I'd double-clicked the keys so the car alarm was on.
I got some cash from the cash point and my car alarm went off. I ran over, switched it off and told the kids to sit at peace. I ran into the shop, grabbed my milk, paid and ran back out.
When I got back to the car, I realised Wee Z had taken his pipe cleaner glasses off.
"Why have you taken your glasses off Z? You need to wear them into school so everyone can see the full effect of your costume!"
"Yes but they made the car alarm go off Mum, so that's why I took them off!"
"What do you mean they made the car alarm go off?!"
"Well when the sensor was scanning the car, it saw me wearing glasses and didn't recognise me so it made the alarm go off. So I took them off and the car alarm stopped because the sensor realised it was just me!"
You can't really say anything to that, can you?
