Sport is something we've been watching pretty much non-stop over the last week. I didn't think we'd get in to it, but we are addicted to the Olympics.
Even the kids are addicted.
The kids have already decided they want to compete in the Olympics. Miss C wants to compete as a gymnast and Wee Z wants to compete in the diving and in karate. I've told them they better start practising now then if they want to make the Olympics. Imagine if they made it though...gosh how proud I would be!
So right now, Miss C is practising her roly-polies in the living room whilst Wee Z practises his cartwheels - I forgot to mention he wants to compete as a gymnast too - and his karate at his karate class every week.
Wee Z's Papa did karate as did Bella and Pops. Husband did really well in karate and I think regrets giving it up sometimes. So Wee Z decided to follow in their footsteps and take up the sport too.
He started karate in January of this year. Wee Z seems to have a natural ability to just pick things up and he really has taken to karate like a duck to water. After a few weeks he received his first tab on his belt and within a few months he had his yellow belt.
He might be taking part in his first competition soon!
I love that Wee Z is enjoying a sport and I hope that he continues to enjoy it. Not only is it fun for him but it is teaching him a discipline, teaching him to work hard and be committed and keeping him fit.
This post is for the Gallery. The theme this week is Sport.
