Love My Street - Review

We have quite a few play tents already as they are lots of fun and great for imaginative play. Miss C received a gorgeously girly pink tent to review from the Love My Street range by Worlds Apart. The new range is being launched for the Diamond Jubilee so little girls (and boys) can join in and create their own little street parties.

Miss C was sent the cute Penpal Post Office tent, which comes with a post box, letters, envelopes and sticker stamps. You also get a red stamper that actually works, as we found out when Miss C and Wee L were left to their own devices and stamped each other all over! It does wipe off, thankfully!

When I opened the box and pulled the tent out I thought, where are the instructions?! I searched frantically for them as it looked quite complicated to put together until Husband pointed them out on the inside of the lid of the post box. I thought that was a really clever idea as you then never lose your instructions...unless you lose the lid!

The instructions were really simple to follow and it took less than 10 minutes to put everything together. Once the tent structure was up though, after following the instructions exactly, we found it really quite difficult to put the cover on. It was far too tight. We had to pull bits of the structure out to get the cover on and then put it back together. However, it was really sturdy once completed and could easily be moved around the room. The post box just pops up and folds flat very easily and having a lid on it means you can store all the accessories inside.

Once assembled, the tent is big enough for one child to stand inside and have room to move around. The Penpal Post Office is one of the smaller sets in the range, which includes 3 other tents. The attention to details is really sweet and the decorative bunting is in keeping with the street party theme and allows you to "join up" any other tents you have from the Love My Street range.

Miss C had lots of fun playing with her post office and as you can see, it made an excellent enclosure for Miss Baby K. This is a great toy to encourage social skills, imaginative play and role play.

The Penpal Post Office is suitable for ages 3+ and is priced at £29.99

Perhaps you'd like the chance to win the full range of Love My Street tents? The lovely Mummy's Little Monkey has a competition on her blog right now to win the full set! Be quick though as it closes on Wednesday 6th June!

We received a Love My Street play-tent for the purposes of a review. The opinions expressed are my own.
