One of my favourite flowers is the daffodil. I love seeing them growing all over the place with their bright yellow leaves and orange/yellow horn. They are like a mini sun sprouting from the ground and spreading their warmth wherever you see them.
Wee Z brought me a daffodil from the park the other day and it is now sitting on the windowsill in our kitchen. The sun light streams through it perfectly and just accentuates the warmth from it's gorgeous petals.
